Accessible Yoga Teacher for Everyday
People

If you’ve seen yoga in the media & thought, “I could never do that!” then you’re in the right place

I’m Anna!

I’m a therapeutic yoga teacher who wants you to finally feel relief from pain + discomfort, build a deeper connection to your physical self, and build yogic practices that serve your healing and growth for the long-term.

I've gone through that thing where I pushed past my physical (and emotional) limits. After multiple injuries, burnout and exhaustion... I knew I needed to make a change. It wasn't until I committed to a regular yoga practice (and some other life-altering decisions) that I learned what it meant to engage with my body, sustainably

Yes -- navigating yoga spaces feels overwhelming. Isn't it time you worked with a teacher who just gets you? Someone who respects where your body is at? Who has the knowledge to guide you where you wanna be? Is patient enough to answer all your questions along the way?

Of course it is.

And I know you're probably curious, so...

Anna was fantastic for our corporate group, adjusting to the varying levels of experience and helping us achieve exactly what we were after.

Most yoga teachers spend their time making playlists, buying matching sets, and creating impressive sequences.

While that’s cool for them, it’s just not my thing.

In my free time, you'll catch me studying up on the nervous system, digging deeper into anatomy and biomechanics, and trying improve how I deliver information to my students and clients.

I also show up consistently for my own personal practice with my teacher. The practices I share with my students are the ones I've spent considerable time with, myself - which is why I take being a student very seriously.

It's common to feel disconnected from yourself, and like nobody can understand what you're going through. The truth is, that even though we're each on our own journey with our unique challenges and lessons, we're all in this together. The right guide (aka, the one you vibe with) can help you navigate beneath the surface & move forward with more confidence and assurance.

I've studied with a Yoga Therapist for my entire career, so I have a unique advantage as a yoga teacher -- a keen eye for the details. Every shape and movement, every action and cue has a purpose. Your yoga practice will be just as unique as you.

And if you leave here with nothing else, let it be this: when you fill your own cup, everyone around you benefits.

You deserve to learn the skills and practices that make you feel more whole, generous, joyful, peaceful and inspired.

If I were you, I'd be wondering...

... if I’ve ever helped anyone like you before.

... if therapeutic yoga can actually help you feel more connected to your body.

... if you can really experience relief from your mental and emotional discomfort

You deserve a guide that takes the time to understand where you are, and where you wanna go.

Someone who considers your unique needs & history.

Someone who has the resources, experience and knowledge to really support you.

Aaaaaand, this is where I come in!

Podcast Interview:

What you can expect from me as your teacher :

Respect for Your Body as it is right now

I reject diet culture and all the ways it manifests in wellness. (I actually discussed my views on a podcast episode – see above.)

Every size & shape of human is deserving of respect. Enjoying movement that feels good in the body you’re in is a right, not a privilege.

Open-Mindedness & Curiosity

I won't make assumptions and I'll always ask questions. I know that honest reflection will help you access deeper layers of awareness, and allow you to connect with your inner wisdom and knowing.

If you don't have a safe space to explore this territory, don't worry. I’ve got you.

Personalized Support & Cueing

Everything we do in your sessions will be ON PURPOSE. I'm not interested in doing things just for the sake of doing them.

We don't fuck with random sequencing or cookie-cutter cues around here.Your journey is unique, and I’m here to guide you on your path.

Humor & Laughter

This kind of work tends to bring up heavy stuff… the inner critic, ego, shadow self, limiting beliefs, and unresolved emotions. (You know what I'm talking about)

While the work we'll do together is serious, we’re gonna have a damn good time while we do it. I promise.

Continuing Education Forever

There's no end point to this journey I'm on – and I’m cool with that. I’ll always continue learning, growing, and challenging myself so I can be better for me AND for you.

If I don’t know the answer to your question, I’ll be honest. Then I'll do the research, and try to point you in the right direction.

Classes with Anna have been absolutely restorative! Her energy is bright and lively and her patience and guidance in yoga have been indispensable to me. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor to introduce me to different forms of yoga.”

What Gets Me Out Of Bed

•••

I’m a movie-loving, animal-whispering, little-things-appreciating tree hugger who believes in divine timing and in my own power and purpose in the world.

I’m an intuitive healer. I can see and feel and know things… without always understanding why or how. I can sense where energy builds up, where it needs to go, and how to move *just* right to bring about BIG SHIFTS. It's what makes me so good at this work!

My Most Successful Students

•••

All have these things in common:

  • Learning best through DOING and taking action
  • A deep sense of curiosity and love for the question “Why?”
  • An appreciation & understanding for sustainability in movement (not just quick fixes)
  • A willingness to get a little uncomfortable (in a way that’s safe, wise, & for your own good)
  • An openness to being silly and not taking the process too seriously
